For the first time in history, Nigerian youths stood up lending their voices in togetherness to peaceful protest in various states against extortion, killing and brutality experienced by SARS. These protests started on the 8th of October.
SARS is a section under Nigeria Police Force designated for Special Anti-Robbery Squad and has been criticized for extortion and harassment to violent crimes such as extrajudicial killings. The youths demand total disbandment of SARS operations in the country. I documented major protests in my state capital, Ilorin, Kwara state.
