b. 1999, Nigerian. Taiwo Aina is a visual storyteller and filmmaker who specializes in documentary stories and creative portraiture based in Abuja, Nigeria
Taiwo currently creates works around human life daily experiences and the societal issues that affect them, women, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. Taiwo is interested in capturing beautiful moments. She loves to travel and discover new cultures while interacting with people, and broadening her knowledge.
She graduated from University of Ilorin, Nigeria with a degree in Agricultural economics. Taiwo is a professional member of the African Photojournalism Database (APJD), a joint project by World Press Photo and Everyday Africa, Black Women Photographers, Natives Photograph. Also, She made it to Diversify Photo's "Up Next Photographers" selected from over 1000 applicants globally in 2020. Taiwo’s work has been published in a group essay themed “Home” Guardian in 2021. Her work on "End Sars" has been exhibited in Colorado, USA.
